A fitting session will always be outdoors hitting balls and observing ball flight. A fitting session can take many varied forms.  Always it will start of with me getting a player to hit some shots with their own club and  a lot of questions.  The questions will be about best shots, worst shots, beliefs, ideal shot shape, desires in golf to name few.

I will evaluate the players own equipment so as to ascertain what swing compensations are being created and caused by the players own equipment.  This will involve the taping of a club or 2 and balls being hit from the lie board.

After the correct lie angle is ascertained then rest of the fit session can take place.  The lie angle requirement is then matched up with every club that is tested.

Aspects of club specification that will be tested will vary in sequence from fit to fit but will normally include:  

•     LIE ANGLE,

•     SHAFT LENGTH, 

•    SHAFT FLEX, 

•    SHAFT WEIGHT, 

•    SHAFT FLEX POINT, 

•    HEAD DESIGN, 

•    DRIVER LOFT,  

•    WEDGE LOFTS,

•    OVERALL WEIGHT OF CLUB COMPONENTS,

•    GRIP SIZE,

•    TEXTURE.

 All of the questions asked by the student will be answered but often not verbally but instead by ball flight.

 Most fitting sessions are born out of a students desire to improve their golf substantially.
